5 Seconds of Summer is an Australian punk-rock band that consists of 4 members; Luke Hemmings,19, guitarist Michael Clifford,20,bass player Calum Hood,19 and drummer Ashton Irwin,21.5SOS was created in 2011 when Luke, Calum and Michael started to post covers of songs on Luke’s  youtube channel. Their cover of Chris Brown’s “Next to you” hit 600,000 views. Later in 2011, Ashton joined the band as their replacement drummer.
